Andy Hopkins Sculptor

I’ve been working on a commission of a Brazilian harmonica player, commissioned by a London-based promoter of Latin music. It’s quite a complicated piece, involving two separate moulds, one for the head and one for the hands / harmonica.

He plays a chromatic harmonica, and interestingly, with the button on his left – hence the raised finger which hovers ever-ready. This is a work in progress and my next step is to age the face, especially the eyes, while giving slightly more expression. And the fingers need to grip the harmonica more tightly
